Kailua
District
Kailua is Oahu’s beach town offering its
residents and visitors all the amenities
necessary for the ultimate Hawaiian
island experience. Restaurants,
shopping, churches, schools and hospital
are in close proximity as well as all
the popular water sports – surfing,
scuba diving, wind surfing, kayaking,
and canoe paddling. There are some homes
built along the shoreline and many have
large lots to accommodate nice estates
with large yards heading out to the
shore. Housing options in the area
include high rise condominiums,
townhouses, and single family homes.
This is a popular destination for ocean
lovers and is a quick 30 minute drive to
downtown Honolulu.
Kaneohe
Kaneohe is cradled by The Koolau
mountains to the south and beautiful
Kaneohe Bay to the North. Kaneohe Bay is
home to the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base
and a popular destination for
snorkeling. The reef within the Bay is
the largest around the island and offers
a vast array of ocean life and colorful
fish. Flat bottom boats can be driven
out to the popular reef in the middle of
the bay and once on this reef there are
several locations where swimmers can
jump out of their boats and be in waist
high waters because of the incredible
height of the reef. This is the ideal
location to go snorkeling and search for
Hawaiian fish, turtles and eels. Kaneohe
offers all the housing options including
high rise condominiums, townhouses and
single family homes. The community
offers all the modern conveniences of
shopping malls, theatres, churches,
schools, restaurants and easy access to
3 freeways leading to central Oahu and
Pearl Harbor Naval Base. |
